In 2 days, J&K tourism department to attain 100 vaccination target

On Thursday, the Jammu and Kashmir tourism department mentioned that the department will accomplish the target of 100 per cent vaccination in two days in the Valley.

The Director Tourism, Mr. G N Itoo, while discussing the matter at a vaccination drive at Dal Lake with the reporters, he said that the vaccination drive for the tourism players including Shikara walas, houseboat owners and others is going on for the last few days.

To quote him, “People have been cooperating and we are hopeful that they will cooperate in the future as well. We are expecting to achieve the target in two days.”

While questioned about the compensation, he said that almost all the tourism players have been compensated, mentioning that few are awaiting compensation as they have not completed the formalities.

He also mentioned that for compensation, the Lieutenant Governor led administration has sanctioned further amount in wake of the prevalent situation.
