All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and 5-Star airline for nine consecutive years will be launching its second specially-painted aircraft featuring pictures and characters from the popular animated TV series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. ANA Group began its collaboration with the anime in December 2021, and the first aircraft with “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” livery entered service on domestic routes on January 31, 2022.
“ANA and ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ are both high-profile cultural ambassadors for Japan, and we are excited about continuing our partnership to promote domestic travel,” said Junko Yazawa, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management & Planning of ANA. “The debut of the latest ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ inspired livery is a sign of how ANA is aiming to bring passengers back through engaging promotions onboard the aircraft.”
Special “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” livery to be introduced on March 26, 2022* for domestic routes
While the initial hull livery featured the show’s four main characters, the second aircraft depicts nine prominent characters within the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” story. The special livery will be on the B767-300ER (aircraft number: JA608A) aircraft. As with the first aircraft, in-flight services include a limited edition headrest cover and aprons for cabin attendants as well as unique in-flight announcements by characters from the show.
- *A scenic flight is scheduled on March 25, prior to the start of regular domestic flights.
From March 27 to April 10, the aircraft will operate on the schedule below. The routes to be flown on March 26 will not be announced beforehand.
- *The aircraft will be operated on routes serving locations across Japan after April 10.
- *The above flight schedule is subject to change without notice.
In addition, on March 27, commemorative gifts will be distributed to passengers on the following flights:
- Applicable flights: NH671 (from Tokyo/Haneda), NH674 (from Hiroshima), NH592 (from Matsuyama), NH38 (from Osaka/Itami)
- Commemorative gift: “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” original memo pad
From February 16 onward, the initial aircraft with “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” livery will operate on domestic routes serving locations across Japan without a fixed flight schedule.
