The Tourism Department of Jammu and Kashmir, kick-started hot air balloon rides at the Zabarwan Park located in Srinagar. This initiative has increased the experience as well as happiness of the tourists in J&K. On April 2nd, the state Tourism Department launched this ride together with a private company.
This hot air balloon is believed to accommodate up to hold four people in addition to the captain. This ride provides an overwhelming view of the Dal Lake and Zabarwan Mountains in Srinagar.
The Operational and Marketing Head of a private company that has launched this effort said that hot air balloon’ services in J&K happened for the first time. He also said that they have launched this service and trying to commercialise it. For the tourists, we have two slots to relish the ride; one is the morning slot which starts from 6 am to 9 am, and the second one would start from 4 pm to 8.30 pm.
Zeeshan also said that at present, the balloon can raise up to the height of 200-feet roughly. It’s a tethered balloon. It’s tied with the ropes from all the sides for high-land exertion in Zabarwan Park.
Also, he said that the company has plans to improve tourism and build recreational activities that were previously not available in the valley.
He added that the concept of Aero-balloon was introduced by them in 2014. However, they have replaced it with hot air balloon.
