Tourism Ministry of Malaysia is all prepared to welcome international tourists

The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac) is preparing to greet international tourists, including the ones coming from West Asia, to an environment that’s safe and free from Covid-19, says it’s Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri. Nancy explained that the ministry was all set to enhance tourist accessibility to the country once the international borders were reopened.

“Tourists from (countries in) West Asia dominate the top five in terms of per capita expenditure, besides recording a longer average stay in the country compared to tourists from other markets,” she said in a statement here Thursday (Oct 7).The statement followed the meeting of Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri with the representatives of the management and sales agencies of four international airlines in West Asia, to create cooperation that would help in promoting Malaysia as a preferred tourist destination.

The four airlines are Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Air Arabia and Emirates Airlines. At the meeting, strategies and plans to promote Malaysia was discussed that would attract international tourists from other markets, such as Europe, America and Africa through their respective airline networks.
